Coinspeaker was founded back on March 6, 2014 when domain was registered. Initially, the source covered crypto-related news exclusively, but a year later, in 2015, it added Fintech, Internet of Things and Payment Processors topics to its focus area.

In the early stages of the portal’s development, Coinspeaker’s team was built up by 2 persons, with that number doubling over time.
