Player vs Player, also shorthanded as PvP, is a type of multiplayer game between two or more individuals. This differs from games where players compete against computer-controlled opponents, referred to as player versus environment / PvE. These terms are most often used in games where both activities exist, particularly MMORPGs, MUDs and other role-playing video games. PvP can be broadly used to describe any game, where players compete against each other. In most cases, there are vast differences in abilities between experienced and novice players.
