Description
Bitcoin Private gives users the option to generate either public or private addresses, redeemable for transactions to either address type. Bitcoin Private uses the mining algorithm Equihash, similarly to Zclassic and Zcash. Also similar to the formerly mentioned, at its core Bitcoin Private is a privacy oriented cryptocurrency, built around the privacy protocol , a zero-knowledge proofs method highly regarded for its security. Additionally Bitcoin Private focuses heavily on being a community project, so much so as deriving its name from a Twitter poll, and eventually attracting hundreds of community members to help on the project. Bitcoin Private is a merge fork of Bitcoin and Zclassic.

Bitcoin Private was allocated to existing holders of Bitcoin and Zclassic on a 1:1 basis.[1]
Controversies
Bitcoin Private co-founder Rhett Creigthon was removed from Bitcoin Private after announcing another fork regarding Bitcoin Prime.[2] He was criticized for that move by cryptocurrency opinion-leader, youtuber and dogecoin founder on Twitter.
