Bitcoin address 3LYJfcfHPXYJreMsASk2jkn69LWEYKzexb

From BitcoinWiki

The Bitcoin address 3LYJfcfHPXYJreMsASk2jkn69LWEYKzexb is a pay-to-script-hash (P2SH) address that Binance identified in 2019 as a Bitcoin reserve address for BTCB, a Bitcoin-pegged token launched on Binance Chain. At block 964,405 on 28 August 2026, it held 68,200.00689471 BTC and ranked twelfth among individual Bitcoin addresses.[1][2]

BTCB reserve role

On 17 June 2019, Binance announced BTCB as the first token in a program of crypto-pegged assets on Binance Chain. Binance said the tokens would be fully backed by reserves of the native assets and that reserve addresses would be published for public auditing. Its material named 3LYJfcfHPXYJreMsASk2jkn69LWEYKzexb as the Bitcoin reserve address for BTCB.[3]

The disclosure documents the address's intended reserve function at launch. It does not by itself establish the current beneficial ownership of the bitcoins or prove that the address is the complete present backing for all BTCB in circulation.

On-chain record

Explorer records date the address's first activity to the same day as the BTCB announcement. It later received and spent bitcoin; explorer data groups its outgoing activity on 18 November 2022.[4] Its displayed balance is therefore a snapshot of unspent outputs and should not be interpreted independently as proof that a token is fully collateralized.
